Pens @ Flyers Preview

Hello everyone! Hope you had a great St. Patrick's Day! Today the Pens are at the Flyers and the game will be on NBC at 12:30 p.m. Here is a little breakdown of the upcoming game.

Pens are 44-21-5 with 93 points and 4th in the Eastern Conference and on a 11 game winning streak, which is the longest winning streak in the NHL this season. The Flyers are 41-22-8 with 90 points and 5th in the Eastern Conference.

The Flyers are 7-1-1 in their last nine contests and have moved within three points of the Pens.

Bryzgalov (the Flyers goalie) has been a big reason for their success. Early in the season he was having trouble, but now he has been getting the job done. In the month of March he is 7-0-1 with only allowing nine regulation goals in the last eight games and four shutouts. He was in the game yesterday, which was a loss against the Bruins.

The Flyers also have a great offense with Giroux and Hartnell.

Giroux has 26 goals and 82 points this season.

Hartnell has 33 goals and 62 points (career high) and leads the NHL with 15 PP goals.

Though the Flyers have done well, they still struggle with early starts and will be a place the Pens can get too.

Jagr will have to watched for as he seems to lift his team in big moments.

As for the Pens they need to get to their game, since it has worked for eleven games.

Cooke another great asset to the team and one the role his has been on is great. Two goals in two games and making his presences known on the score sheet. Look for him to come up big.

Flower will be in the net and he will have to be strong.

Asham will be back in the lineup!

Pens have been outscoring their oppenets   43-17 during their winning streak.
