Penguins take over the Big Apple

By: MF,

The Pittsburgh Penguins are in the Big Apple to battle the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. The Penguins are looking to turn around their luck as they have lost four-games in a row. Not the kind of streak one wants to be riding.

This would be a good place to turn things around as the Penguins are 4-1-2 in their last seven road games and have won their last five straight at the Garden. As for the Rangers, they have struggled lately at home as they are 0-5-2 in their last seven at home. Perfect chance for the Penguins to pounce and get back on track as the season draws to an end.

On the injury front, Jake Guentzel (concussion) and Ron Hainsey (upper-body) will return to the lineup tonight! The Penguins are finally getting some injured bodies back into the lineup.

The Penguins need to come out with speed and take it to the Rangers early. They don't want to be playing caught up later on in the game. Lets Go Pens!

The Pens lineup is as follows:

Rust - Bonino - Kessel

Penguins found in Ottawa

By: MF,

We are in Canada's Capital city of Ottawa! The Pittsburgh Penguins face off against the Ottawa Senators with another piece missing from their lineup.

Jake Guentzel took a hard hit from Buffalo Sabres player Ramus Ristolainen. Ristolainen received a major penalty and a games misconduct. Guentzel was reported as having suffered a concussion. Today, the NHL stated that Ristolainen will be suspended for three games for his hit on Guentzel. There is a video of the hit on Facebook, if you haven't seen it. Take a look, but beware it's a bad hit.

The Penguins are no strangers to dealing with injuries and mounting injuries at that through the seasons. They will have to stay focus, play smart, and stay out of the box. There is no reason they shouldn't be able to finish with a win. Lets Go Pens!

Penguins strike back

By: MF,

Welcome everyone to a early start time between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Buffalo Sabres. The Penguins are coming off two back-to-back losses and are looking to strike back with a win over the Sabres.

Nothing different on the injury front. Conor Sheary is back in the lineup, if you didn't watch the last game. Otherwise things are pretty much the same.

On a side note, tonight the Penguins Foundation are selling the annual charity bags. You can buy them online and there are two kinds. $1,000 Gold bags and $250 Black bags. The difference is that the Gold bags are guaranteed to have a signed jersey and one bag will have a Golden ticket inside. The Black bags could have a signed jersey in it, but that is left up to chance. Go check it out and grab yourself one! I have mine and it's my third year getting a bag. Never been disappointed...well I haven't gotten lucky enough to get a jersey just yet.

They also acquired defenseman Frank Corrado from the Toronto Maple Leafs for Eric Fehr, Steve Oleksy, and a 2017 fourth-round draft pick.

The only other change since last night is that Cameron Gaunce was reassigned to Wilkes-Barre Scranton, while Derrick Pouliot was called up.

The Penguins have to bounce back after giving up a 2-0 lead last night to the Stars. They have to play smart, stay focus, and limit the Blackhawks chances. Lets Go Pens!
