Orpik and Vitale stayed in Pittsburgh with Sid as they both have lower body injuries.

The Pens lineup is as follows:

Pens Enter Hostile Territory! 4/22/2013

The Pens are set to take on the Ottawa Senators in Ottawa! This should be an interesting game not only for the Pens, but especially Cooke. Cooke has had an interesting few days. First in the game against the Bruins, their play-by-play analysis Jack Edwards said an horrendous thing about Cooke.

Then after the intermission he was confronted by Pens General Manager, Ray Shero. Who was said to be visibly enraged after learning about Jack Edward's comments. After the first intermission, Jack Edwards apologized both on television and Twitter.

Now Cooke has to deal with this more haters as the Senators fans hosting a "Matt Cooke Hatefest" for tonight's game. Senators fans and their owner Eugene Melnyk believe that Cooke injured Karlsson on purpose. However this is an unfair and untrue statement, that no one should be accused of. I hope goes into Ottawa and puts some points on the scoreboard.

Injury updates: Sid, Neal, and Martin have been skating with the strength and conditioning coach. The Pens will be without the services of Geno, Bennett, Tanger, and Flower. Geno is still ruled out with an injury along with Bennett with upper body injury, the other guys are being rested. Since the Pens are already locked into the playoffs.

Flower's wife isn't in labor, but is close to giving birth to their first child. He doesn't really need to be here tonight anyways.

Pens need to continue to win and getting all the possible points as they are in the hunt of the President's Trophy, but in the end the Stanley Cup is what truly matters.

The Pens lineup is as follows:

Forwards
Kuni, Jokinen, Iginla
Morrow, Jeffrey, Duper
Cooke, Sutter, TK

Injury Updates 4/8/13

On the injury front there is some good news and some bad. First the good news: Tanger, who has missed the last five games due to a lower-body injury, joined the team practiced session today. This is a great development and next thing we know he will be game time ready. Also Sid talked to the media today after the Pens practice and looked in good spirits. It was great to see the captain talking and joking with the media. The bad news in all this is that Neal was diagnosed with a concussion, after being on the receiving end of an elbow to the head, during the game against the Rangers Friday night. He will miss the Pens upcoming three game road trip. We all wish Neal and Sid a speedy recover.
