3rd Period
0:00- PENS WIN 3-1 OVER THE PANTHERS!!!! Nice job Pens, big win at home. 4-4 home record.
0:26- Kuni shoots wide of the empty net.
1:20- Panthers empty net. They call a timeout as the Pens ice the puck.
2:26- Flower makes a pad save off a Panthers faceoff win and directs it to the corner for Orpik to handle.
4:45- JEFFREY SCORES!!! Cooke passes to Jeffery, coming to the net and he slides it into the net! 3-1 Pens.
7:15- Pens not giving the Panthers any breathing room, just on the puck and body right now.
12:11- NISKANEN SCORES!!! Pens keep the puck in the Panthers zone and get the puck to Niskanen at the point. He fires a rocket shot and it flies pass the glove of Panthers Markstrom! Pens take the lead 2-1!!
12:32- Pens PP comes to an end. Had some amazing chances and still have the Panthers trapped in their own zone.
14:32- Flower freezes the puck, but Panthers Kopecky pokes at Flower. Pens get angry and a scum ensues. Pens get a PP chance as Kopecky will be sent to the sin bin for slashing.
15:12- Geno gets a chance the wing and shoots the puck. He goes down and slams into the boards his head gets a violent whip lashed. It was such a hard and violent hit. He gets up and skates off the ice. Geno heads down the runway to the runway, but has trouble. Don't expect him to return.
16:45- Pens are able to survive the Panthers PP. Flower comes up big with a save right as the Panthers PP expires. To close!
18:45- Pens will have to face the Panthers PP again as TK is sent off to the penalty box for a slashing penalty.
19:27- Geno with a nice take away at center ice! Update: Panthers Weaver is now credited for the Panthers goal earlier.
20:00- Time for the third period and the Pens need to take command of the score board! Lets Go Pens!
2nd Period
0:00- Second period ends and the game is tied at 1 a piece!
1:30- Pens getting some great chances, but the puck is somehow staying out of the Panthers net! Markstrom has been on his game, so that is the main reason the puck hasn't gone in.
6:21- Geno fires one high and wide of the net! Pens with some great pressure on the Panthers and Kuni just about jams in another one.
9:19- KUNI SCORES ON THE PP!!! Neal makes his way to the side of the net and takes a shot. The puck stays in the blue paint and Kuni goes into enemy territory to jam the puck between the pads of Panthers Markstrom! 1-1 tie game!
10:37- Panthers Smithson is sent to the sin bin for hooking and the Pens will get a PP to work with.
11:35- PANTHERS HUBERDEAU SCORES! Panthers Weaver fires from the point and it is redirected by Huberdeau into the Pens net. Nothing Flower could do on that one. Panthers take the lead 1-0!
11:41- Flower makes as huge save with his foot, stretching out his leg. Just an unreal save!
13:40- Panthers finally clear the puck after a long, very long Pens shift. Working hard and deserved a goal on that shift.
16:04- Bennett just had a great shift on the ice. Working hard on the boards and drives to the front of the net, but Panthers Markstrom makes the save.
19:14- Sid and Kuni get a 2 on 1 chance. Sid makes a cross ice pass to a wide open Kuni and the puck just jumps off his stick. Close one.
20:00- Second period is underway! Time for the Pens to put some pucks behind Panthers netminder, Markstrom!

3:36- Pens will have another PP chance to work with as Panthers Mueller sits for a tripping penalty. Nasty trip by Mueller on Orpik, lucky Orpik is unhurt.
6:07- Pens kill off Panthers PP. Flower made a huge shoulder save on a point blank shot as he came out to cut down the angle. Amazing save.
8:07- Cooke is sent off for tripping and the Panthers will get a PP chance.
9:14- Pens PP comes to an end. Not impressive by any means.
9:29- Sutter tries a backhand chip on a rebound of Geno's shot and Panthers Markstrom makes the glove save.
11:14- Pens will get a PP chance to work with as Panthers Huberdeau sits for holding.
12:46- Neal with a hard shot that is stopped by the pads of Panthers Markstrom. Bennett picks up the big, fat rebound and tries to put it in the net. It goes through the blue paint and Geno tries to shot it in. Somehow the puck stays out of the net. Such a close one for the Pens.
18:20- Duper makes a great move to turn the puck to his forehand, trying to stuff the puck between the pads of Panthers Markstrom. Markstrom makes the save.
19:04- Flower comes up with a huge shoulder save after the puck was turned over in the Pens zone. Flower covers up the rebound.
20:00- The puck has dropped and it's another hockey night in Pittsburgh! Time for the Pens to get back on track by putting the Panthers in their place.
