Pens 2 Jets 4
0:00- Jets get the win over the Pens 4-2! Pens will go 2-2. They let that game slip out of their hands after a dominating first period.
0:12- Pens call a timeout
0:50- Pens empty their net again!
1:10- Tanger lets a pass get off his stick and the Jets are able to get an empty net goal. Pens let that one get away from them. Jets lead 4-2
1:40- Pens empty their net!
4:19- Tanger puts a puck in the paint, but no one is there to bang it home! Vokoun makes two amazing pad saves to keep the Pens within one!
5:30- Vokoun puts the pads together to make a great save! Pens start a break out play!
7:10- Neal hits the goal post! Pens attacking with a new energy and just hammering the Jets in their own zone. Jets with some good defense!
9:10- Pens kill the Jets penalty! Pens attacking the Jets net! Sid with a close chance that wide!
11:15- Engo heads to the sin bin for a high stick on Kane. Jets to the PP.
13:42- Sutter with another amazing scoring chance, but can't get enough wood on the shot.
15:00- Vitale working hard down the left side and leaves the puck for Adams, who gets a shot off. Pavelec makes the save.
17:24- Glass goes to the bench in some discomfort after he slides into the boards.
18:10- Niskanen with a hard shot from the point, but it is blocked by a group of Jets stationed in front of Pavelec!
20:00- Puck drops on the third period! Time for the Pens to take back control of this game! Lets Go Pens!
2nd Period
0:00- Second period ends. Jets take the lead at the end of the second period 3-2 over the Pens. Pens need to step their game up in the next period.
0:54- Vokoun flashes the glove to stop the Jets from scoring on a rebound shot! Amazing save!
2:06- JETS LADD SCORES! Ladd is left alone on the side of the net and blast one into the net as Vokoun is coming across the net, but can't get there in time. Jets lead 3-2!
2:30- Neal skates into the Jets zone and takes a wrist shot. Pavelec flashes his glove to make the save. Pavelec is feeling it right now.
4:04- Jets ice the puck and call a timeout to rest their tried players.
6:25- JETS BYFUGLIEN SCORES PP GOAL! Byfuglien lets a rocket of a shot go from the point and it flies pass Vokoun. Jets tie it up on the PP. 2-2
7:08- Pens now on the PK for 1:28 as Jets get a PP chance.
7:59- Geno has his pocket picked on the play and ends up getting called for a hooking penalty. 4 on 4 hockey for 50 seconds.
9:09- Pens will head onto the PP as TK draws a penalty.
10:37- Pens with two turnovers in their own zone, but Vokoun bails them out with two good saves.
12:00- Lovejoy fires a hard shot right on net and Pavelec comes up with the save, but there was a huge rebound that is just out of the reach of Sid.
13:08- Geno with a great drag move to get around Jets D, but Pavelec shuts him down with a tremendous save and covers up for a whistle.
13:47- Neal with some nice stick handling to keep the Jets from the puck. Tanger makes a great save to keep the puck in the Jets zone.
15:47- Vokoun goes behind the net for the puck and losses it to a Jet. Tangradi able to clear the puck from the front of the Pens wide open net.
17:10- Geno is just absolutely robbed by the pad of Pavelec!
18:50- JETS KANE SCORES! Kane is left all alone and fires on pass Vokoun. 2-1 Pens
20:00- Second period is underway! Pens are leading 2-0, lets see if they can extend that lead!
1st Period
0:00- First period ends. Martin gives up the puck in front of Vokoun, but Vokoun comes up with a big save. Martin redeems himself and gets the puck back before the period ends. Pens lead 2-0
0:46- Vokoun makes a save and then is able to get the loose puck. He even makes a veteran move to tie up the Jets stick, so they can't put the puck in the empty net.
5:02- SID SCORES AGAIN!!! Sid kicks the puck up to his stick and takes it into the Jets zone. He does some moves to get to the front of the Jets net. He whips a wicked backhanded shot between the legs of Pavelec and into the net. Pens lead 2-0
6:44- TK with a wrist shot, but he is robbed by Pavelec who makes a jumping save. He covers for the whistle.
8:27- Vitale makes a sweet back-checking move and is able to take the puck back in the Jets zone. His shot is saved by the glove of Pavelec. Tangradi just can't quite get to the loose puck.
9:42- Vokoun able to come up with a stick save. Jets getting some good time in the Pens zone.
12:45- Pens spending quite a bit of time in their own zone. Pens able to keep the Jets at bay and clear the puck.
15:34- SID SCORES!!! Tanger dumps in the puck and Kuni picks up the puck. Kuni sends it to Sid, who was skating straight now the center to the net. Sid whips one and it goes pass Pavelec putting the Pens up 1-0! Sid gets a goal in his first game in Winnipeg!
16:49- Really fast pace game. Mad scramble in front of the Pens net, but Vokoun keeps the puck out.
18:22- Duper with a nice poke check that leads to a 2 on 1 chance for the Pens. Sid tries a slap shot attempt, but Pavelec stands strong in the net to make the save.
20:00- The puck has been dropped! Time for the Pens to do some work against the Jets.
