I am back tonight reporting from the lovely Pittsburgh city as the Penguins are in New York to take on the Rangers! It was a great game Monday as the Penguins beat the Maple Leafs 3-1 at Consol Energy Center. I was in attendance and it was my first game at Consol! It was awesome and I will be there for tomorrow's game, so look for me on Twitter for game tweets. It was great to see Philip Samuelsson make his NHL debut! The Penguins are having to show their depth as injuries and suspensions are hurting them. Letang has been placed on IR along with Megna. Geno will at least miss two more games. Neal has one more game left on his suspension and will be back tonight. Engo has been handed a five game suspension starting tonight. The Penguins have called up Gibbons from WBS. Hopefully the Penguins can keep things on track and get a win tonight! Lets Go Pens!

0:00- OT isn't enough either and we are headed to a shootout!
1:48- Niskanen jumps up on the play and passes across the ice to Sid. He lets go of a quick release, but Lundqvist is there to make the save. Scramble ensues afterwards. Such a close one, but Sid.
2:46- The Pens kill off the Rangers PP and Kuni is released from the box.
4:46- Rangers get a PP and a dangerous 4 on 3 PP the Pens have to kill. Kuni sits for goalie interference.
5:00- It's time for OT! Pens it's time to show the Rangers what we are made of! Lets Go Pens!
3rd Period
0:00- That does it for regulation and we are headed to OT! 3-3 Pens @ Rangers!
0:10- Jokinen with a hard shot in the slot, but Lundqvist denies him!
1:46- BASSARD SCORES ON THE PP! Flower has a long way to go to get to the other post and Bassard takes advantage. He puts in a bad angle shot as Flower is trying to stretch post to post. 3-3 time game!
2:42- The Rangers get a late PP as Niskanen is called for high sticking! Huge kill ahead for Pens!
3:15- The Rangers have had a late surge in this game. The Pens young defense showing their youth, but still working hard. Niskanen and Maatta racking up a lot of ice time.
7:17- ZUCCARELLO SCORES! The Rangers comes flying into the Pens zone and one of them is able to stick handle around Maatta and Niskanen. Flower is unable to stop the puck as Zuccarello jams in the loose puck. 3-2 Pens
9:51- The Pens kill off Despres penalty and he is released from the box.
11:51- Despres heads to the box for high sticking and the Rangers go onto the PP.
12:14- Both teams are back to full strength!
13:34- SUTTER SCORES!!! Sutter speeds into the Rangers zone and toe drags around Del Zotto to backhand one over the blocker of Lundqvist! 3-1 Pens
14:14- We will have some 4 on 4 hockey. Zolnierczyk and Dorsett both get matching roughing penalties.
14:25- DUPER SCORES!! Kuni works hard on the boards to get the puck from McDonagh and passes across the goal mouth to Sid. Sid outlets to Duper and he puts one to the back of the net! 2-1 Pens!
15:39- The Pens get some offensive zone time and a Ranger has a broken stick. The Rangers are able to hold off the Pens and clear the puck for a change.
19:31- Flower makes a quality save off a McDonagh shot from the point!
20:00- Time for the third period! Lets do this Pens! Lets Go Pens!
2nd Period
0:00- Second period ends and this game is tied 1-1 after two periods!
2:00- Some good back and forth hockey by both teams.
4:10- Both teams are back to full strength (regular 5 on 5 hockey).
4:25- HAGELIN SCORES! Hagelin gets behind Dumoulin and Despres and puts a quick one through the five hole of Flower! The Rangers have tied it up at 1-1.
6:10- Zolnierczyk gets an unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty and Del Zotto gets a checking minor penalty. 4 on 4 hockey time!
7:16- KUNI SCORES ON THE PP! Kuni crashes the net and jams the loose puck under the pad of Lundqvist into the net! The Pens get the first goal and lead 1-0 over the Rangers!
8:39- Sid receives a board pass from Dumoulin and is all alone behind the Rangers defense. He is tripped up on the play and the Pens get a PP. (looked like a penalty shot to me).
9:03- The Pens kill off the Rangers PP and hold them to no shots during the kill!
11:03- Duper is headed to the sin bin for hooking and the Rangers will now get their first PP chance of the night!
11:06- Nash and Moore get chances on net, but Flower is there to shut the door in their face!
12:41- The Rangers will a great PK and the Pens can't capitalize. Maatta had a hard shot from the point, which Lundqvist blockered away, during the PP and was their best chance.
14:41- The Pens will get the first PP of the game as Falk is called for tripping!
15:58- Kuni passes up to Sid and he makes a backwards pass between his legs, hoping either Kuni or Duper would be there to jam it into an open net. However a Ranger is there instead.
17:53- Flower hugs the post to deny a chance at a bad angle!
20:00- Time for the Pens to put some pucks behind Lundqvist and take it to the Rangers some more! Second period is underway! Lets Go Pens!

2:50- The Rangers crash the Pens net and the puck is loose in the blue paint! Flower denies entry and the Pens are finally able to clear!
5:25- The Pens have started to pressure the Rangers more as the period progresses. Rangers now on their heels a bit.
7:08- Sid takes the puck up ice as the rest of his line is changing and puts a quick shot on net. Lundqvist makes a pad save, kicking the puck out of harms way.
11:00- McDonagh with a hard shot and Flower makes the save! Both goalies playing at a top level!
11:55- The Pens first line gets some great chances on net, but Lundqvist shuts them down...for now.
12:27- The Rangers get another great rush up ice and a developing 2 on 1 chance, but Sill with a great back checking effort to break up the play.
15:58- The Rangers have come out with some jump in their step and getting chances. The Pens look slower, but it's still early.
18:35- The Rangers get a 2 on 1 chance and Nash fires a shot that hits the post!
20:00- The puck drops at Madison Square Garden! Time for the Pens to come out with speed and put some early ones on the board! Lets Go Pens!
