Sharks Can't Survive in One River, Let Alone Three Rivers!

By: MF, The Pens Hockey Show

The Penguins are gearing up to face the San Jose Sharks at Consol Energy Center tonight! They will be facing a familiar face in Tyler Kennedy! The Sharks have been doing well and it should prove to be a good, hard fought game for the Penguins. There is both good news and bad news on the injury font. Lets start with the bad, Evgeni Malkin will not be playing tonight. He is listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury, hopefully after a few days of rest he will be good to go. Now onto the good news, first Rob Scuderi and Tanner Glass are progressing and skating with Mike Kadar. Chuck Kobasew may be returning tonight and this could spark the lineup with Malkin being out. Also, Sidney Crosby will be playing in his 500th career NHL game, so Congrats to our Captain! The Penguins will have to take it to the Sharks and out work them all over the ice! Lets Go Pens!

The Pens lineup is as follows:

Kuni, Sid, Duper
Megna, Jokinen, Neal
Conner, Sutter, Ebbett
Adams, Vitale, Kobasew

Orpik, Engo
Maatta, Tanger
Despres, Niskanen

Flower in the cage!

12:44- The Pens will bring out their PP unit again as McCarthy heads to the box once again, this time for tripping!

14:33- KUNI SCORES!!! The Pens come into the Sharks zone and Sid has the puck! He puts a shot on net, but Niemi comes up with the save! Kuni kicks the rebound up to his stick and backhands one into the net! The Pens extend their lead 3-0!

0:33- Sid drives down the center and stops on a dime. He steps up the trailing Engo for a scoring game, but Niemi steers it over the net.
