The Penguins Could Clinch a Playoff Spot!

By MF, The Pens Hockey Show

The Penguins are ready to take it to the Phoenix Coyotes tonight in Pittsburgh at Consol Energy Center! The Penguins are still battling injuries and a new member has been added to that list and his is a big star. Evgeni Malkin will be out 2-3 weeks due to a foot injury per Coach Dan Bylsma. Malkin suffered the injury during his first shift against the St.Louis Blues. The doctors have not indicated that Malkin would need surgery on the foot, but it doesn't seem like he will. The Penguins have recalled Jayson Megna from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. It's hard to see Malkin go down with such an injury and this late in the season. We won't be seeing Malkin play till the playoffs start. However Megna is a tough and hard working player who will definitely put his heart into this game. Tonight the Penguins can clinch a playoff berth for the eighth consecutive time. The Penguins need to pull it together and play a tight game. They need to limit the turnovers, put the puck behind the Coyotes and battle! Lets Go Pens!

The Pens lineup is as follows:

Forwards
Kuni, Sid, Stempniak
Jokinen, Sutter, Neal
Pyatt, Goc, Gibbons
Glass, Adams, Megna

Defense
Orpik, Bortuzzo
Niskanen, Maatta
Despres, Scuderi

Flower in the cage!
