Penguins fly into Madison Square Garden

The Pittsburgh Penguins are at Madison Square Garden to faceoff against the New York Rangers.

The Rangers are off to a rough start this season with a 1-5 record to start. They have dropped the last three straight games. Things won’t be easy for them as the Penguins are coming off a 4-3 win against the Florida Panthers. Sidney Crosby has been on fire as he has tallied at least one goal in six of his last seven games.

Also, Matt Murray has been a horn in the sides of the Rangers. He is 6-0 in his career against them with a 4-0 record at Madison Square Garden. During that time his goals-against average is 1.64 and has a .940 save percentage.

Tonight’s game will be a great chance for the Penguins to put some wins together and show consistency.

On the injury front, Ian Cole will be a game-time decision. He hasn’t played since October 7th. Unfortunately, Matt Hunwick has been placed on Injured Reserved. Looks like we are replacing one injured player for a healed one.

Stay tuned for game updates and play-by-play analysis.
