Today the game will be a mid-day game against the Penguins biggest rival the Philadelphia Flyers! This game is being held in Pittsburgh and we are ready to take it to the Flyers, who sit in the third position in the Metropolitan division. Before practice Evgeni Makin (foot injury), Joe Vitale (mid-body injury), and Chris Conner (foot injury) skated. Chris Kunitz left the Penguins practice in the middle of it, but it was not due to an injury. Per Coach Dan Bylsma, Brooks Orpik and Chris Kunitz will be out for the game tonight both with day-to-day injuries. The Penguins recalled Harry Zolnierczyk from Wilkes-Barre Scranton. The Penguins are coming off a huge shootout win against the Detroit Red Wings and Marc-Andre Fleury had a huge night in the net. The Penguins will have to come out ready to battle as the Flyers will not hesitate. The Flyers played played two nights ago against the Tampa Bay Lightning and came out on the losing side. The Penguins will have to get in on the fore-check and take it to the Flyers, who will be hunger to get back on the winning track.

3rd Period
0:00- We are headed to OT! Huge brawl breaks out in front of Flyers bench!
0:36- TANGER SCORES!!! Sid feeds the puck to the side of the net and Neal banks it off the post! Tanger tracks the rebound and puts it in! 3-3 tie game once again!
1:16- GIROUX SCORES! Giroux gets inside position and gets a perfect pass on his stick. He directs it towards the post and it goes off Flower's back. Flyers lead 3-2.
1:46- Hall high sticks Adams, but no penalty.
5:07- NEAL SCORES!! Tanger works hard to keep the puck in the zone at the blue line makes a pass to Sid! Sid looses the puck, but spins around a backhands a shot to Neal! Neal whips one through the five-hole of Emery! 2-2 tie game!
8:39- Both teams are back to full strength.
10:39- 4 on 4 hockey as Hartnell and Tanger sit in the box. Hartnell attack Tanger, but both end up in the box.
11:43- Neal fires a shot in the slot, but Emery makes the pad save. Neal gets the rebound and spins around to shoot it. Flyers still lead 2-1.
15:41- Bortuzzo just laid out a Flyer as they have been targeting Megna.
17:34- Mason is out with an upper-body injury per Flyers.
18:41- The Pens PP is now over.
20:00- The third period is on! The Pens have a PP for 1:19 to start and they need to capitalize on this chance! Emery is now in net! Lets Go Pens!
2nd Period
0:00- Second period is over. The Flyers have the lead 2-1 over the Pens.
0:41- Flyers now going to sit in the box and the Pens get a late PP opportunity. Raffl for hooking.
1:33- The Pens come up with a huge PK and Megna is released from the box.
3:33- The Flyers will head onto the PP as Megna is called for goalie interference. The Pens need to step it up.
5:22- VORACEK SCORES! Giroux fires a shot through traffic and it starts to trickle behind the pad of Flower. Voracek gets to the puck first and jams it in. 2-1 Flyers.
6:53- Sid carries the puck into the Flyers zone and across the ice. Mason gets a piece of it with his glove.
8:18- The Pens have had some amazing chances on net, but just can't get the puck behind Mason.
12:01- The Pens PPs come to an end and the Flyers kill them off.
13:27- Regular PP for 26 seconds.
13:35- Neal rings one off the post and he had a wide open net!
14:01- Now a 5 on 3 chance for 1:34 as Hall is called for hooking!
14:27- The Pens will be getting another PP chance as Mason gets a delay of game penalty. Hartnell will serve the penalty for Mason.
15:04- Some good back and forth hockey. The Pens are making too many passes (as usual) and they need to put those chances on net! Passing is not always the answer.
17:33- The Pens PP comes to an end. The Pens had a battle in front of the net, but Mason absolutely robs Bennett with the glove hand!
19:33- The Pens will now be getting a PP chance as Streit takes an interference penalty.
19:36- Sid puts the puck on the stick of Tanger at the blue line. Tanger rifles a shot, but Mason makes the pad save and collects the rebound before Sid can get a chance.

5:01- The Flyers get speed and enter the Pens zone on a odd man rush. Giroux is left alone in the slot area and rips a shot towards the net, but it rings off the post!
6:23- Bortuzzo makes a huge defensive play to deny the Flyers a chance at an open net. Flower was caught to the side to make a save and Bortuzzo covered for him.
8:10- Megna makes a good move to poke the puck away from the Flyers trying to exit their zone, but the Pens are just caught off sides.
9:04- The Flyers have had some more time with the puck as the game has progressed. Niskanen laid a huge hit on a Flyer to separate him from the puck.
12:00- The Pens are playing some good hockey. They need to continue to keep their foot on the pedal and keep the Flyers from getting time or space to work with.
18:00- JOKINEN SCORES! Neal and Gibbons get a 2 on 1 chance and Jokinen is the trailing player! It develops into a late 2 on 3 play! Neal makes a drop pass to Jokinen and he rifles a shot right pass the glove of Mason! The Pens open up the scoring! 1-0 Pens!
18:46- The Pens have a good opening shift with Sid's line. Dumped the puck and battled. Sid hat a chance at the side of the net, but Mason holds the post tight.
20:00- Pennsylvania State Showdown is underway! The Pens need to come out and get to the fore-check right away! Lets Go Pens!
