2013-14 Regular Season Comes to an End!

The Penguins celebrate Tanger's goal / Pittsburgh Penguins
By: MF, The Pens Hockey Show

Tonight will mark the final regular season game at Consol Energy Center for the 2013-14 season. The Penguins will be facing the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round of the playoffs and will have home ice advantage! The Penguins held an optional skate this morning as they faced the Philadelphia Flyers yesterday afternoon. It was a hard fought game, but the Flyers came out on top with an overtime win. Evgeni Malkin, Joe Vitale, and Chris Conner participated in the morning skate. Coach Dan Bylsma commented that the players, “did not technically rejoin the team for practice. They just went out as a part of the optional morning skate.” He still has no definite answer on if those players will be playing in the first round of the playoffs. The Penguins recalled Chuck Kobasew from the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins. The Penguins have had an incredible season even with all the man loss games they have had, which ends up being the most in the NHL. I can't wait for the start of the regular season, but the Penguins need to end this regular season on a good note! Lets Go Pens!
