Crosby vs McDavid Part Two in Edmonton (Game Updates - Penguins vs Oilers 2017-18)

By: MF,

The Pittsburgh Penguins are continuing their trip through the West as they take on the Edmonton Oilers tonight.

It’s part two of the Sidney Crosby vs Connor McDavid storyline for this season. All three times the two have battled, the Penguins have been victorious. Though when the two teams faced off last week, the two goalies stole the show along with Phil Kessel who scored the overtime winning goal. We will have to wait and see if this game turns out differently.

As for the whole team, the Penguins have points in 14-straight games against the Oilers. This would be a perfect game to get things back on track for them. Especially important for them after they suffered a hard 7-1 loss.

Changes have been made to the lineup to help boost the offensive and the defense. Those changes will be showcased in game’s lineup. Also, Tristan Jarry was called up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Casey DeSmith has been re-assigned.

On the injury front, Matt Hunwick practice with a non-contact jersey on. It’s good to see him making progress.

The Pens lineup is as follows:

Forwards
Sheary - Crosby – Hornqvist
Kuhnhackl - Malkin - Rust
Guentzel - Sheahan - Kessel
Archibald - McKegg - Reaves

Defense
Maatta - Letang
Dumoulin - Ruhwedel
Cole - Corrado
